The Building

The PPM has been housed in its privately owned building next to the Panathenaic Stadium since 1977.

The philatelist Nia Andreas Stratou donated the building and began operating as a museum under the supervision of the Hellenic Post.

In 2017, when it came under  the then, Ministry of Digital Policy, now Digital Governance, a gradual programme of renovation and modernisation of the Museum’s premises and infrastructure began. The aim is to graduallymodernise the Museum, implementing all modern building and museum specifications without affecting accessibility.
