The mission of the Museum is the preservation and presentation of the postal history of our country, with particular emphasis on philately, i.e., the history of Greek stamps (collecting and studying).
Through our postal and philatelic history, visitors can see and learn about developments in the world and, especially in Greece.
Typography, process automation, electrification, telephony and telegraphy indicate the technological development of telecommunications and post offices.
Postage stamps, cheques, postcards, customs stamps, etc., show how society and the state functioned differently. The artistic representation on the surface of the stamp reveals all of this. Great artists such as Biskinis, Kefallinos and Tassos have worked on stamp illustrations, creating timeless works of art.
